This CPD Day has been funded by donations and is therefore available subsidised to teachers working with deaf children across the phases.
This CPD Day has been designed for teachers working with deaf pupils at home and in mainstream schools. In the challenging environment of financial cuts we will look at ways of maximising the opportunities and the impact of the specialist teacher.
- Meaningful support from diagnosis to school leaving
- How you know the child’s amplification is the most effective for them
- How to support continued development of language for access to the curriculum
- Specific age groups
- Specific needs
Leave this course more confident in understanding the key elements of effective support for deaf babies, children and young people.
There will be a focus on understanding the importance of effective amplification and how support can be targeted to empower each pupil’s learning.
There will be time to discuss specific challenges and to share ideas.
Speakers include Sue Lewis and Wendy McCracken.
