Our Fundraisers
The Ear Foundation has teamed up with JustGiving to create a secure on-line fund-raising facility for The Ear Foundation.
If you are thinking of fundraising for The Ear Foundation (for example a sponsored run, the London Marathon or special event etc), you can raise money quickly and easily on-line with your own personalised webpage. It takes only minutes to load your details, and then family & friends will be able to support you by donating on-line with a credit card or debit card. So no more running around with paper sponsorship forms, or chasing cash after your event!

Stacey Coulson
I am 20 years old and born deaf. I had hearing aids till I got to age of 15 when I had my cochlear implant since then it has changed my life, I had never heard birds sing, music playing clearly, join in conversations with family and friends. This is why I want to do something to raise money for Ear Foundation to thank them for giving me new hearing experiences.
I am pleased to say that I've completed 26 miles with no problem except legs were getting painful! But now, I've recovered fast and well.
Also, I'm pleased to say that I have raised £511.50 for the Ear Foundation!

James Callaghan
The Ear Foundation has had a life changing effect on a member of my family. My cousin Laura Talbot lost almost complete hearing in both ears when she was very young. Despite this traumatic and very unfortunate time, Laura has remained one hundred percent positive and her courage has been nothing but relentless.
The Ear Foundation provided Laura with the opportunity to have a Cochlea Implant operation. This was absolutely life changing and has resulted in Laura regaining almost complete hearing.
Therefore in honour of her courage and for all other people like Laura, I will be completing a sponsored bike ride this August from Kent Police Headquarters to my home town of Shepton Mallet, Somerset. The distance will be approximately 175 miles and will be completed in one straight hit, hopefully 14 hours!

Catherine Joynson
I am Catherine, and I am a recent bilateral user. I live in Kettering, Northamptonshire and go to Nottingham Cochlear Implant Programme.
The reason I have chosen The Ear Foundation is because I feel more close to the charity and they have helped me to build up my confidence and gave me an opportunity to meet new people like the Annual BBQ every year and with Teenz group. Because of that, I feel like I want to do something for someone and that is The Ear Foundation as I would like to support other families and cochlear implant users.
The sponsored marathon walk is part of Waendal Walk in Wellingborough and I have took part in last year's walk and completed 26 miles but it did not go smoothly as I had a minor foot injury during the time. This year, I'm determined to do it again for something which is fundraising for a charity. I will be walking with my mother, Jessie Joynson.
