Fundraising Events

It takes a lot of organising to pull together a fundraising event. But, with the help of a team of people willing to volunteer their time, and brainstorm ideas, our small group of Fundraising Committee members manage to bring it all together!

If you are interested in taking part, our next meeting will be on Tuesday 17th January at 7pm, here at The Ear Foundation.

Alternatively if you would be interested in doing a bit of fundraising in your own local area, please feel free to contact Jo for a Fundraising Information Pack or for further details.

Email Jo here jo@earfoundation.org.uk

We would be delighted to hear from you.

Kilimanjaro Climb

The Charity “Destiny of a Child” have continued to support The Ear Foundation again in 2011 when the team raised an amazing sum of £85,000 for climbing up Kilimanjaro which has made a huge difference to The Ear Foundation.

They are now planning on repeating this mammoth event AGAIN in 2013 for us to raise even more funds. Kilimanjaro

We would once again like to thank Annie Martin and her team of 60 climber for their ongoing support.

If you or anyone you know would be interested in taking part in this “chance of lifetime experience” in 2013, please do get in touch with Annie’s team, and take a look at their website which supports cochlear implant charities here and in France: by clicking here

We are all hoping for some good weather once again, to show the flowering bulbs they have planted.Roteract

There will also be activities for young and old: refreshments including homemade cakes, tombola, and other games to entertain. Do try to come along!

26-27th May – Open Garden Day

Helen and Peter Lister have very kindly offered to donate to The Ear Foundation monies raised from the opening of their lovely garden as part of the National Garden Scheme.

Tebbutts Farm is situated in the lovely village of Normanton-on-Soar, overlooking the wonderful open countryside of Leicestershire.

The garden has plenty of beautiful shrubs, trees and borders, together with a well established orchard where their family of hens enjoy an ideal life.

There will be delicious home-made cakes for sale together with a great selection of plants all grown from seed and other attractions too.

This event is open between 1-6pm .

Saturday 7th July – Annual Summer Barbeque

This annual event is one of our most popular events, and is very much a social occasion for families to meet up with one another. We had over 100 people attend last year, who enjoyed the BBQ, a bar, cake stall, tombola’s for adults and children, bouncy castle, and hopefully the Jazz Band will be available to entertain our guests.

If you would like to contribute to the event, we are always in need of suitable prizes, such as unwanted gifts for the Tombola, cakes to sell, or if you would like to volunteer your time to man a stall for a while, we would be very grateful. Get in touch with our Fundraiser, Jo, if you think you could help.

If you would like any further information about our fundraising events, and if there are any events that you are arranging that you would like to announce, please send an email to our Fundraiser, Jo Collinson - jo@earfoundation.org.uk alternatively, take a look at some of the people taking part in our Just Giving page - we have a 9 year old boy and a women who wants to beat her personal best of 4 hours!

Please also visit our Events page which has further information of activities The Ear Foundation is doing which may be of interest to you!
