I don’t know anybody who has a cochlear implant, can we meet with another family whose child has an implant?
The professionals you will meet at the Implant Centre can give you lots of information. However, most families find talking to other parents and children who have gone through the assessment process invaluable. The Cochlear Implanted Children’s support group (CICS) can put you in touch with another family in your area. They also organise several social events throughout the year.
