Family Fun Day at The Plough Inn
It was yet another typically wet Bank Holiday weekend when The Plough Inn held their Family Fun Day. Although, whilst setting up, if felt more like a wet October day rather than the August Bank Holiday, morale cheered up when the sun started to shine, and people came along to see the various activities which had been organised.
There was a Fire Engine to have a look around, face painting, Tombola’s, a raffle and other games.
The highlight however, was not only soaking the Manager of the Plough (amongst others) in the Stocks, but seeing her, along with 16 other people jump off a 200 ft Bungee Jump in the Car Park!
The crazy jumpers (who had mostly dressed up as various “superheros”) had all raised sponsorship money for The Ear Foundation.
The evening finished off with some live music from local bands.
Thanks to everyone who took part, particularly Sarah at The Plough and her staff, Colin Wells who did some fantastic commentating throughout the day, the volunteers who helped run the stalls and, of course, to all the brave people who jumped on the day!
The whole day raised in excess of £1,500!
