Family centred practice is key to successful outcomes. Families report that positive experiences with professionals from education and health can help them to fully understand their child’s challenges and strengths. When interactions feel truly collaborative families are more likely to engage and take ownership.
This 2 day course will give you the opportunity to explore the emotional aspects of supporting families. During the sessions, you will begin to understand and practise deep listening skills and explore the different responses you may employ when engaging others in crucial conversations. You will also get the opportunity to reflect on your current practise and consider the changes you could make to become a more family centred service
Course suitable for: all professionals working with children, young people or adults and their families.
This is a 2 day course. We would however welcome attendance for just 1 day. Please contact Susanna firstname.lastname@example.org for more information
