Course suitable for: Headteachers, SENCOs, HoS, Heads of Resource Bases
Course Description: Self evaluation now forms the main focus of all assessment and planning for educational establishments, including unit and resource bases. If your responsibility includes monitoring standards and achievements and identifying improvement targets within such an establishment then these two workshops will give the opportunity to explore the specific issues involved. They will address issues relating to evaluating value added, monitoring the mainstream and specialist teaching of children in resourced provision and the leadership and management of the provision. It will include workshop activities involving OFSTED and other relevant criteria as well as examining achievement data to enable participants to become more confident in gathering their own data and to develop action / improvement planning skills. Both days are led by Sue Lewis
Day One will focus on presenting evidence for value added and driving towards improvement. Participants will be asked to provide some of their own material for day two.

These two workshops are designed as a single course. You may however attend workshop one alone and attend day two at a later date; or attend workshop two alone if you have attended workshop one previously
