Moving on into March and April
In March we will be running two workshops around Ushers Syndrome. On 19th there is a day for professionals working with children , ther families, young people and adults with Ushers, whilst on 20th May ther's an opportunity for Ushers syndrome children, young people and their families to come together.
The programme repeats some established courses by request, as well as providing opportunities to explore new topics which have been suggested. We also welcome new contributors to provide these courses together with staff from Nottingham Cochlear Implant Programme. Numbers are deliberately restricted so that we maintain an interactive atmosphere for participants and early booking is advised.
The majority of our courses take place at The Ear Foundation from 10 am to 4 pm. This timing will give 5 hours training credit and Certificates of Attendance are issued.
Lunch and refreshments are provided in the course fee; for those travelling longer distances there is limited self-catering accommodation here at The Ear Foundation at an additional charge of £40 per person per night. Please apply in good time as rooms get fully booked at an early stage.
There is limited parking at The Ear Foundation, but it is first come first served! The local council are trying to encourage the use of public transport so parking restrictions have been introduced in some neighbouring streets. We are about 10 minutes by taxi from the Railway Station and 30 minutes from Nottingham East Midlands Airport.
